Asking $13,900 OR BEST OFFER for this 101 year old rare White Motor Truck
1913 White Truck w/no bed that was used in the coal mines in Illinois to pull coal cars. It is very complete and ready to be restored. This is a real piece of Americana, and an extremely rare find.
This was the first year for a crank up self-starter for the White Motor and truck company. This was also a transitional year for the company, as it switched from kerosene-fueled lamps to electric lighting. The White Motor and Truck Company evolved into Volvo.
This is an original, unmolested truck that was parked in a barn for over 70 years until acquired by its current owner.
White built automobiles from 1900 until 1918, when the company shifted production solely to trucks. The trucks built by the White Motor Company were used during World War One.
The company continued to produce trucks becoming one of the largest producers in America. In 1980 they went bankrupt and were later absorbed into Volvo/GMC, later Volvo North America.
This truck shows the earliest development of disk brakes in the advent of the industrial evolution in the 1900's. If interested contact Don at: 410-225-9184.
